Jon Cvack was born and raised in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. He studied Philosophy and Film & Media Studies at Loyola University Chicago. His work has been featured in the Austin, Beverly Hills, San Diego, Lone Star, and Zoetrope Film Festivals, and has created content for such clients as Motor Trend, NBC, Twitter, and Disney. His first feature film "Road to the Well" which he wrote, produced, and directed won "Best of Fest" at Long Beach Indie Film Festival, and "Best Supporting Actor" (Micah Parker) at Orlando Film Festival. Acquired by FilmRise, it had its world television premiere on The CW network, followed by Paramount+, and is now streaming on Roku, AppleTV+, and PopcornFlix. He went on to serve as Lead Director/Producer of Snapchat's first interactive narrative vertical crime series "Solve" which achieved over 400 million views across three seasons. Between film projects, he produced The Friendship Onion podcast through Kast Media Network, nominated for both an Ambie and People's Choice Award for Best Comedy Podcast.

He's now a freelance producer/director, focusing primarily on narrative, interactive, audio, and commercial content, currently working on a series of short films for the City of LA. His latest short "With Arms Raised" had its World Premiere at FilmInvasionLA this June where it won the Filmmaker's Award for Best Dramatic Short and Grand Jury Award for Best Short Screenplay. Over the last few years, he's immersed himself in the broad range of Gen-AI video/audio tools, having produced commercials, music videos, short films, and web-series and hopes to find further ways to merge both AI and traditional production.

Last May, he completed his Master's Degree in Philosophy at CSU-LA, focusing on the intersection of analytic philosophy and film studies, exploring the logic, ethical, and technical capabilities of Gen-AI filmmaking. He's now expanding his skillset in both AI and traditional production by taking classes in 3D Production at Santa Monica College.
